TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions apply to bookings starting from 1 January 2016. The terms are binding for both parties after the customer has made the payment stated in the terms of contract. Finnish law is the law governing these terms. If any possible disagreements cannot be resolved by negotiation, they shall be resolved in the District Court of Lapland.
Cancellation policy
Please note if a guest is late for more than 5 minutes for the agreed pick up/meeting time, Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park reserves the right to cancel the booking with no possibility for a refund!
If the cancellation is made more than 72 hours before the departure of the activity, the customer is entitled to a full refund. Cancellations made 72 – 24 hours before departure, the customer will be charged 50% of the paid amount and will receive a 50% refund. No-shows or cancellations less than 24 hours prior the departure are not refundable.
All changes/cancellations to be received by e-mail (info@snowmobilepark.com) within the office hours in Finland (Mon-Fri at 9:00-17:00, GMT +2).
In case of illness, the reservation will be totally refunded in case the illness is being mentioned as a reason for cancellation. Medical certificate needs to be send to Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park within two working days from the cancellation date.
General terms of contract concerning all booked activities
Child rates: if not otherwise stated in the offer, children of 0-3 years are free of charge. Children 4-12 are subject to child rates specified in the product information. Youngsters aged 13+ are subject to adult prices.
Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park Oy withholds the right to change the prices in the event of a general change of taxes or similar prices beyond our control; change the timetables or contents due to ice or weather conditions or similar reasons.
Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park reserves the right to change the order, routing and duration of the programme due to weather conditions, for example, or due to safety reasons.
Force Majeure: Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park may cancel the reservation in the event of force majeure. In this case, the customer shall be entitled to a refund of the full paid amount. Any possible expenses caused to the customer due to the force majeure shall not be refunded.
We recommend customers take out the appropriate travel insurance cover against any possible situations and cases of possible travel cancellations. The customer is recommended to make sure that their travel insurance covers medical costs caused by accidents while doing extreme sports. Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park does not provide insurance for the customers.
General terms of contract concerning all snowmobiling activities
All children and youngsters under the height of 140 cm must be seated in the sledge pulled by a snowmobile and cannot be passengers on the snowmobile. All passengers must be at least 140 cm of height in order to ride the snowmobile as a passenger.
Snowmobiling self-liability is max. 950€ / accident. Prior to the departure, all participants must sign a self liability form where they agree and confirm that they understand the self-liability and the fact that they will be held responsible for damages caused to the snowmobile as a result of faulty or reckless actions. The damages will be assessed by the representative of Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park.
All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license for the passenger car and must be able to present it upon request. All drivers must not be under the influence of any intoxicating substances. Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park holds the right to request the customer to be exanimated by the alcometer.
The customer is obligated to use caution when driving a snowmobile. The customer is expected to familiarize himself/herself with the safety instructions provided by Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park prior the departure. Recklessness or disobedient behavior of the customer may result in a non-refundable termination of the booked activity. Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park reserves the right to exclude a customer from the programme, if he or she is considered to cause danger to him- or herself or others, or due to the customers’ health.
Pregnant women: snowmobiling or sitting in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile is not recommended for pregnant women. The vibration and exhaust gas from the snowmobile can be harmful to the fetus. If the safe performance of the programme requires special arrangements, the service provider shall be not responsible for the resulting additional costs.
