Authentic Reindeer experience in the wilderness in Levi

Discover the Secrets of Reindeer Husbandry

The Reindeer Husbandry Experience starts with a 45-minute scenic drive to a local reindeer farm. There, a skilled reindeer herder will greet you and explain interesting details about reindeer and how they are cared for. You are welcome to ask questions about these amazing animals.

In the wilderness, near Olos and Pallas, you’ll see reindeer pastures with hundreds of reindeer and their herders. You will learn about modern reindeer care, feeding, and their yearly cycle. Sitting in a snowmobile-pulled sledge, you’ll have the chance to watch a large herd of reindeer in their natural environment, perfect for taking photos.

To end the experience, your guide will arrange a gathering around a campfire, where you can enjoy warm drinks. Afterward, you’ll be taken back to your drop off point in Levi.

Additional information

• Duration of the program is about 3,5 hours. It is suited for adults and children.
• Please note, the minimum customer amount for this activity is 4 persons. If the minimum number of customers is not met, the activity will be cancelled with full refund.

Transfers & Prices

• Transfers from/to are included from Olo Resort, Reindeer Manor Levi, Arctic Nook, Hotel Levi Panorama, Northern Lights Ranch and Golden Crown Levi Igloos.
• If you stay at the center of Levi, you can meet your guide at our Safari Office, address is Levintie 1585. Meeting time at the Safari Office is 30-minutes before the scheduled starting time of your tour.
• Pickups will start 30 minutes to 1-hour before the tour starts. Exact pickup time will be informed by email the day before. If you don´t receive this email, please contact us.

• Child rates: children of 0-3 years are free of charge.
• Children 4-13 are subject to child rates specified in the product information.
• Youngsters aged 14+ are subject to adult prices.

Good to know

• Missed meeting time and point will result on missed safari which will not be refunded.
• Free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance.
• If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded. Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
