Summer: Visit Reindeer Farm & Husky park

While visiting the traditional Reindeer Farm and Husky Park, you will be able to engage in the local reindeer herding and husky dog mushing traditions. Local herders and mushers will tell you about the lifestyle and answer all of your questions about how it is to be a herder/musher in the 21 st century. All animals will be happy to meet you.
At the reindeer farm you will have a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the deeply-rooted traditions of reindeer herding in Finnish Lapland. When you arrive to the reindeer farm, you can help reindeer to prepare for the Lappish winter, by feeding them with delicious and nutritious food. This activity will grant you the chance to become a reindeer herder yourself, even just for a few hours. The reindeer are happy to act as models, too – take as many photos with the animals as you´d like! Local reindeer herders and farmers will be there to explain the traditions of reindeer herding lifestyle and answer all the questions you might have about the local life here, on the Arctic Circle.
After you have learned all about the reindeers it is time to take a drive to meet our fluffy friends, Siberian huskies!
